Reflections

Oregon’s nonprofits worked tirelessly in 2024—pushing through challenges, strengthening communities, and deepening their commitments to equity. We saw organizations ensure their teams and programs reflect the communities they serve, making diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority in real, meaningful ways. Their dedication and impact makes Oregon stronger.

While responses varied, one thing was clear: Oregon nonprofits are making life better for Oregonians, filling critical gaps and meeting essential needs. These select impact outcomes from new 2024 Rose & Daffodil partners speak for themselves:

Many also focused on taking care of their staff—improving pay, benefits, and support systems—not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes their organizations stronger and better equipped to serve. We fully support this work, knowing that when nonprofit teams are cared for and retained, their impact goes even further.

This year, we listened and learned. Based on what we heard, we expanded general operating and multi-year funding, launched the Sunflower Grant to better support small organizations, and streamlined our process to make funding more accessible. Our focus remains on the critical, direct service efforts throughout Oregon — meeting people’s needs today while reinforcing the organizations that serve them.

In a world where challenges can feel overwhelming, we hope you find the same inspiration in these organizations that we do. Their dedication gives us hope, and it is our privilege to support them.

Our 2024 Partners

We call nonprofits our partners because their work is at the heart of our mission. They are the ones creating change, lifting communities, and transforming lives—and we are here to support and strengthen that impact. Everything we do is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring they have the resources, trust, and collaboration needed to serve people in the most meaningful ways.

As our priorities have evolved, so has our focus. Some partners from 2020-2023 may not fully reflect our funding priorities today, but we remain deeply grateful for their work and the impact they continue to make. We honor our commitment to their efforts and appreciate the vital role they play in strengthening communities across our region.

Sunflower

A new program in 2024, we launched the Sunflower Grant to support smaller organizations with a faster grant program that issues modest, yet meaningful awards to grassroots, growing, and small-but-mighty organizations throughout the state.
